Personal note from Mark LaMont
Learning about the rich history of Tibetan rugs and visiting Nepal has made my business a rewarding hobby. I am a teacher in Sisters, Oregon, and my holidays lead me to Nepal where my priority is doing social work with Ten Friends, a non-profit that I co-founded. With Mountain Rug, my interest is supporting the fragile economy of Nepal, providing people the highest quality rugs at the lowest costs, and using any profit to pay my airfare to Nepal where my service work through Ten Friends is helping thousands of Nepali people. Thank you for visiting this site and considering a purchase of one of Mountain Rug's fine handmade Tibetan rugs. |

Mountain Rug has been selling Tibetan rugs for 5 years now. My prices are low because I have no employees or retail outlet, and very little operating expense. I choose my rug inventory in Nepal and have a good friendship with the manufacturer in Kathmandu. He gives me the best prices and I pass them on to you. I've visited the weaving factory several times. There is no child labor involved with any part of the rug making process.
